Yes. Little Ninjas and Kids BJJ run separately from the adult schedule, and adult beginners start in the 101 classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and striking.
Comfortable athletic clothes, a water bottle, and something to tie long hair back. For BJJ wear a t-shirt and shorts without zippers or pockets. Gloves and other gear can wait until you know you want to keep training.

Two to three classes a week is plenty when you're new. It's enough to build skill and conditioning without burning out or getting hurt early.
